Our Story

Kate and Catherine met in 2023 after unexpectedly meeting through a client who needed care at home. They very quickly realised that they worked well together and had the same views about how care should be delivered to all clients. After discussing creating a company, they did just that and K & C Home Care Ltd was born in 2024.

Kate and Catherine are big believers in maintaining independence and dignity and strive to deliver the best care and in the way the client would like it. All clients are at the forefront of their care and its delivery.

Based in Swindon, we serve our local community with pride, building lasting relationships with our clients and their families. We believe that everyone deserves to receive care in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by familiar surroundings and the people they love.

Catherine & Kate

Catherine has over 20 years of experience in health and social care, having worked as a manager in sheltered housing and as a sole trader for over 13 years. Her passion for people and extensive knowledge are pivotal to our industry.

Katie has worked in the care industry for over 10 years, including 4 years in a care home. She formed Care By Kate as a sole trader, offering clients care at home. Her passion for people and quality care delivery is her number one priority.

Our Commitment to Quality

DBS Checked Staff

All our care workers undergo stringent enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks, including barring lists for vulnerable adults and children. We also obtain at least two satisfactory written references for each team member.

Fully Trained Team

Our care workers receive relevant, high-standard quality induction training and annual update training. We encourage ongoing personal development to ensure the highest standards of care.

We respect your privacy and maintain strict confidentiality. All information is stored securely and shared only for the purposes of managing and improving your care, following Data Protection Act 2018 principles.

Insurance & Policies

Public Liability Insurance

K & C Home Care Ltd carries Public Liability Insurance and Employers Liability Insurance up to £10,000,000 for any one claim. The insurance covers all aspects of its undertakings.

Household Insurance

Please note that our insurance does not take the place of normal household insurance cover for accidental breakage or damage to household items.

Private Arrangements

Please do not make private arrangements with our Care workers because this will not be covered under our insurance policy.
